Our team based at Caboolture offer an array of services, including supporting clients to remain healthy and well in their own homes. An essential component to enable us to do this is our fleet of vehicles. We are seeking a friendly and motivated volunteer to assist as a car cleaner - working to ensure Anglicare SQ vehicles always look their best, and maintaining our commitment to quality service - which includes a positive public profile.
This volunteer position includes cleaning vehicles internally and externally; checking tyre and tyre pressure; topping up water & oil; and checking of brake & indicator lights. It requires:
- A knowledge of general car maintenance and the experience to report any further maintenance required to the vehicle(s)
- Ability to use tools & equipment safely, and store them appropriately
- Good reporting skills; strong communication and understanding of the need for professional boundaries
- A patient, friendly and mature attitude with respect care and courtesy towards others
- Flexibility, commitment and ability to work responsibly and independently
- A current, clean, open Queensland Drivers Licence
Other requirements include:
- Availability – minimum of one shift (4 hours) per week, during business hours
- Consistency and reliability – willing to commit to an ongoing basis for at least 6 months
- Confidentiality – this is critical to us and you will need to sign a Role Description which includes a confidentiality agreement
- Two (2) referees – who are not relatives and can vouch for your character and interaction in the community (ie. Work Colleague, Church Elder, Community Leader , Doctor or other Professional)
- National Police Clearance – we organise and pay for this if you don’t already have one
